Modern Kitchen Furniture for the Modern Family

If the kitchen in your home is outdated, or you sometimes feel envious of friends with trendy new appliances, accent pieces, cookware, and furniture in their kitchens, fear no more. If you often find yourself looking through magazines wishing your kitchen had a modern look and feel to it, fear no more. The cost for modernizing your kitchen no longer has to be out of your budget!

Many people do not know where to find the best deals on modern kitchen furniture, appliances, decorative pieces, and cookware, and believe that giving their kitchens a modern makeover is financially out of reach for them. These days, however, it is relatively simple for a normal family to bring their kitchen out of the past and into the present on a middle-income family budget.

With careful planning and diligent research, you can find modern furniture for your kitchen that looks elegant and, often, more expensive than it actually was. You will need to be mindful of shopping habits that could wreak havoc on your plans for a beautiful designer kitchen and your bank account.

Making snap judgments due to impatience and succumbing to impulse buys are two of the worst habits that many shoppers suffer from. Not fully researching the features and functions of various modern kitchen furniture pieces, is another bad shopping habit many people have when trying to update their kitchen. Knowledge is very powerful and with a broader understanding about modern kitchen furniture you will know exactly what to look for, where you are most likely to find the best brands of modern kitchen furniture, the general price range they should fall into, and whether they would deliver on performance and style.

Your kitchen is usually the room in your home that gets the highest traffic flow and most use. You want your modern kitchen to be inviting to your family while allowing you to move freely about the kitchen stress free. Furniture pieces from yesteryear were more on the hefty side because bulky was trendy back then. The more modern kitchens seen in homes today are incorporating smaller furniture pieces in order to get more space while creating a more comfortable, enjoyable, and aesthetically pleasing environment.

If your kitchen has bigger pieces of furniture, you might want to consider moving those to another room in your house, or putting them to good use by donating them to people in need. Older furniture does not have the multipurpose functions of modern day furniture either. This might be another incentive for you to consider replacing chunky furniture with smaller, smart designed and stylish modern pieces of kitchen furniture that can make your space more efficient.

It is also important to decide what you want to be able to do in your kitchen as you begin to contemplate how you would like your kitchen to look. This gives you a starting point to start a search of all the different modern kitchen furniture choices that you have available to you today. Whenever you run across images and articles on modern kitchen furniture that interest you, save the pictures and information that you find for future reference. When you begin searching for modern kitchen furniture, you will gain knowledge about the various features and prices of the products you like. All of this information will be very helpful to you when it comes time to decide what to buy while also staying within your budget.

I want to give you an advice, an elderly Muslim woman told me before my own nikah. "Don't expect a man to change after marriage. If he is horrible before marriage, most likely he can only get worst afterwards."

I truly sympathies with you, but I strongly suggest you don't get yourself into this. I mean it might still be possible to change this man if his mother is a practising Muslim, but looks like she's not, and I'm sorry… but it does appear to me, his whole family will make life a literal hell for you.

To ask for a dowry from the bride for the groom, is completely un-islamic. What kind of guy would ask a woman for such? Shame on him! As a Muslim wife, you have the rights to get all your financial needs from your husband. I mean, if he is poor.. fine you can work to assist. But why do you need to share your income with his family? This is brutal. I don't think this guy's family wants a modern woman. You're a modern strong woman. They want a westernize no-brainer B word. There is a lot of difference in that.

I do know of another Pakistani woman who was married to such a man. She is educated and very beautiful. But her husband and his family kept insulting and pressurizing her to not practice Islam. They even said she brought shame to his family for dressing up like someone from the mountain. They even beat her.

She told me, the last straw was when her husband and mother in law interfered with the upbringing of her daughter… to make her un-Islamic. Unfortunately, to this day, she bears the insultations from the public in Pakistan for being a divorced woman. She told me she should not have married him in the first place, she would rather her a wilted untouched flower.

As a Muslim sister, I truly care for you. Do you think you'll be happy in the marriage. Is it worthy? If you go ahead, married him and obey his family…do you think ALLAH will bless your family? What is the meaning of life for you then?

Please sister, don't do it. Remember, it is HIS lost and NOT yours. You don't need an ignorant society like that to judge you. Believe in ALLAH.

Pencil pleat is more modern than eyelet. I love forest green with beige and brown tones, however, you could choose almost any colour, I think the right shade of any colour would look great

It depends what your story is for, personal enjoyment or an assignment. Is it supposed to be rounded off at the end? I think it would be better if you made the end a cliffhanger, so the reader has to guess what happens and so it is not so sweet and finished. There is an art to short stories but this idea might need to be refined a bit as it seems like you could write an entire book on this! Maybe you could make it a bit more dramatic and detailed for example about the mother's depression or father's alcoholism and I would also suggest cutting out quite a lot of the description about your house that is not that necessary and replace it with more descriptive words other than just listing how the rooms are. This would also make space for you to develop ideas about the mother and father like i have suggested. This story could be very exciting and intriguing but it needs a little tweaking first. Hope this may help .. xx
