Contemporary Bathroom Furniture

While designing the home it is difficult to design the bathroom. This is because there are so many choices out there. The choices range from the antique to the contemporary.

Contemporary bathroom fittings are the latest trend. Fixtures of the latest designs are offered for the bathroom. Today, one has a wide choice of contemporary bathroom fittings. The washbasins come in more aesthetic designs. The shapes could be round, square or rectangular in shape. The material could be glass, ceramic, or stainless steel. There is also a choice to be made between the acrylic bath and the steel bath. The acrylic bath is much lighter and more versatile than the steel bath. Steel baths are generally favored for their strength and looks. The metal bath has a more traditional look and feel. However, modern acrylic baths are now at least as strong and have attributes of their own. They are easier to maintain and do not have the cold metallic feel of steel baths.

Some of the contemporary furniture includes:

Nickel-Bronze Bathroom Space Saver–This Nickel-Bronze finished Space Saver toilet topper has three-rack style shelves, a side towel bar and a camel-back crown design in a leaf motif.

Contemporary Vanity Sink Cabinet—This is in contemporary style with multiple raised square design woodwork and a deep, glowing merlot finish with the black marble top and two doors with oval handles.

Verde leaf Bathroom Caddie–This green metal Bathroom Caddie with a Verde leaf design has three rack shelves and a curved top.

Tier Polished Chrome Bathroom Organizer–This four-Tier Polished Chrome Bathroom Organizer has three shelves and a bottom basket for storage or display. It has Polished Chrome finish and four towel racks on each side of the organizer.

Types Of Bathroom Furniture

Most interior designers find it challenging to design and decorate a well-facilitated bathroom. For most people, it is the perfect place to relax and release the body and mind from the clutches of routine tensions and stress. It provides personal space to individuals and therefore necessitates pleasant d?cor. There is a baffling range of bathroom accessories and furniture to appeal to people with varied tastes. From traditional to contemporary, the range is endless and come in all price brackets.

Vanity sink cabinets are a popular choice among cabinets. They come with sleek and stylish countertops made of various materials. Most people, who have smaller bathrooms, prefer to have cabinets that include a mirror and shaver sockets. Generally, cabinets are designed to include drawers for keeping undergarments and other necessary items. Many people prefer oak or maple cabinets. Rattan furniture and Wicker furniture is highly popular as it combines strength and intricate designs. Wicker furniture offers a rustic look to the furniture and is made from bamboo, reed, willow, or synthetic fibers. A large number of wicker objects can be included in the bathroom to complement the furniture. This form of furniture is inexpensive and easily available. Most common type of wicker furniture includes chest of drawers to keep linen.

Contemporary bathrooms include lavish bathtubs, which come in a variety of colors, styles, and materials. Bathtubs can come in round, rectangular or a square shape. Bathtubs can be made of stainless steel, ceramic or glass. Acrylic baths are also very popular among most individuals as they are devoid of the cold metallic feel. However, stainless steel baths score over acrylic baths as they last longer and are easier to maintain. Washbasins are also designed aesthetically to complement the decor of the bathroom.

Bathroom furniture can be complimented by choosing matching or contrast furnishings such as curtains. Many people select furniture and accessories that complement the bedroom furniture as well.

Art-Bathe uses a variety of premium materials many others in the industry simply do not. They have meshed affordability with a stunning bathroom furniture line.

Twenty two years ago, before it was even popular like it is today, I used an antique piece of furniture, cut a hole in the top, dropped in a scalloped porcelain sink , and transformed it into a working sink/vanity in my downstairs bathroom. And, the oak furniture piece cost only $165.00. Yes, I had to retrofit the drawers so they could still be used, but the end result is well worth my efforts. The style of the furniture is curved in front with a harp on the back for hanging towels, like an old fashioned wash sink to match my victorian bath. But you can use any other style to fit your decor.

I refinished the vanity with Minwax Antique Oil Rub. The oil absorbs into the wood and is waterproof. You may be tempted to finish the wood with polyurethane and although it is waterproof, it will eventually end up getting scratched and begin to lift which will result in more maintenance that you may want to dedicate to the vanity. Whereas the oil soaks into the wood, not coating the surface like the poly. And the finish is hand rubbed, leaving a wonderful patina look to the wood.

May I suggest that you skip the bathroom showrooms and go directly to the flea markets, consignment shops, antique shops and the like?
You may be surprised what you can find if you have the time to shop, because if you have more time than money, you are sure to find something that will work for your application.

This may not be the answer you were looking for, however, please at least consider the possibilities.

mediterranean house do not look good with modern decor. they use a simple but rustic theme, and mellow earthy colors.
Pottery Barn things would look better in an Andirondack ,Cape Cod, or Arts and Crafts styled home.

play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think a green like "majolica green" (# 0013) would look stunning with the black + it's very peaceful & soothing.

oh, and I like it when the ceiling is painted something other than white – whether it's the same shade as the wall color or something to complement it.

i would say go for a black and white room. with like pink accents. get a zebra print rug, and cute bedding with pink and black. paint some walls white and one or two accent walls pink or black. on the white walls put a few circles of black or pink. Stencil out the Eiffel tower or something.

that picture shows how well the pink goes with the black and white.

for dividing the room, get a curtain. you could many things, just search on google "room dividers" they're are storage types, sliding doors, curtains. anything.

also that is such an awesome picuture. go to ratemyspace at hgtv to get more ideas

for the hang out area get some black couches/beanbags any type of seating with a small white entertainment center (if you have a tv). Either white or black furniture will work. You could get another type of rug to go in that area

    goodluck :D

You're going to have a hard time finding a really well-appointed suite in an upscale, luxurious hotel in Vegas for $600 or less a night.

The most upscale hotels are Venetian/Palazzo, Bellagio, and Wynn/Encore. Aria as well, but it sounds like you aren't interested in it. All 3 of those first hotels are classy hotels with great service. The view depends on where your room is located, but they all have the potential for great views.

Caesars is another great place – not quite to the same level as the others, but very close and very nice.

Venetian/Palazzo is an all-suite hotel, so even the standard rooms are small suites. The bathrooms are very nice, and the rooms are nicely furnished. It's one of my favorite places to stay on the strip.

How nice to start fresh! I think that it would be sensible to pick the dark brown sofa (white is a nightmare for staining/showing bits of fluff/hair etc.) and this would probably save you from having to paint (if you are liking the tan coloured walls). You might consider using orange (ranging from deep to paler shades) as an accent along with touches of blue (ranging from deep turquoise to paler shades). You could pick that up in lamps, throw cushions, accessories and in towels, etc. for the bathroom.

You can also buy large, primed canvases at art supply stores and simply paint a base colour in a soft neutral colour (or leave them white) and then splatter on whatever accent colours you are using to have unique and interesting art on your walls that will tie everything in. You can buy small bottles of acrylic paints (very inexpensive – around $2 per) to splatter the paint. You don't even have to frame them and that will keep the cost down for you and give the space a very contemporary and unique look.

I don't know where you live, but Winners often have the neatest accessories – candle holders, wall hangings, vases, etc. – that are very reasonably priced.

Enjoy your new space! In no time at all, it will feel like home!

if the strairway leads into the living room i would worry that all together it might be too dark. dark colors to make rooms seem smaller so in a stairway you might get that feeling, but you shouldnt be afraid to try. its only paint. you said theres yellow in the area rug, if you decide to paint the stairway eggplant maybe find some pictures with bright yellow in them or white frames…or accent pillows. something to brighten up the dark room would help. i think those colors sound pretty!
